INTRO TO GRASSHOPPER, MAYA, AND ZBRUSH V1.0
Intro to Grasshopper, Maya, and ZBrush V1.0 is a two-day intensive course that will teach participants the basics for getting started with AutoDesk MAYA, Pixologic ZBRUSH, and McNeel GRASSHOPPER 3D. Each programs user interface will be extensively explored to gain knowledge of the different tool sets available. In Grasshopper, we will explore simple examples of parametric design and data tree structures. With Maya we will develop basic sub division polygon mesh modeling techniques via mesh faces, edges, and vertices. Lastly, we will modify meshes with ZBrush’s extensive mesh sculpting, deformation, and patterning utilities. Intro to Grasshopper, Maya, and ZBrush V1.0 is included in the Dynamic Mutations V3.0 workshop but can be taken separately if desired.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Basic Grasshopper 3D parametric design and interface
- Basic Maya mesh modeling and interface
- Basic ZBrush mesh sculpting and interface
Each Participant should provide their own computer with the following software installed. If you do not have a software, trial versions can be found on each software company’s website. We will send participants links to the required software, trials, and plug-ins for download. Please have the software installed prior to workshop start. If you have issues installing software, we may be able to help you during the workshop.
