Jo is a designer from the UK working at the intersection of architecture, industrial design and fashion. Jo has many years of experience in teaching Rhino and Grasshopper as an Authorized McNeel Rhino trainer. He has taught Rhino and Grasshopper and the principles of digital fabrication to hundreds of students in the UK and internationally in China and the Middle East and most notably at the AA Visiting School in Jordan. Having been taught computational design by award winning designers in the likes of Maria Boltenstern, Riyad Joucka of MEAN design and Julia Koerner, who are all pioneers of 3D printed architecture, product, jewelry and fashion design, he has continued his own research and development in computational design and digital fabrication by launching his own design consultancy specializing in these principles. Jo has spent the last several years teaching and consulting for some world leading design firms aiding in their implementation of computational design and digital fabrication methodologies. With a keen interest and passion for how technology might be utilized to create new architectural and design prototypes and typologies he has recently completed a Masters at the University of Applied Arts Vienna in Studio Hani Rashid and is a designer at Wolf D. Prix / Coop Himmelb(l)au.
