Boyan Mihaylov received a Dipl. Ing. degree in Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Stuttgart. His main field of interest includes computational design, computational geometry and digital fabrication. During his university years he worked on numerous projects affiliated with the Institute of Computational Design (ICD) led by Prof. Achim Menges – he was involved in the design and fabrication of projects such as ICD/ITKE Research Pavilion 2011, HygroScope and HygroSkin. He furthermore collaborated with the Baubotanik Research Group led by Ferdinand Ludwig. His professional experience furthermore includes placements at UNStudio in Amsterdam, Magma architecture in Berlin and Studio 17,5 in Sofia.
